NewPATH is the acronym for New Person-centered Alternative To Hospitalization.
NewPATH will recommend new service or program models that will provide the intensity and type of services to address behaviors that in the past have caused people to be referred to the Oregon State Hospital (OSH) or have contributed to a patient's slow release from OSH. Community-based crisis/stabilization and long-term care models to be designed will promote policies of self direction and person-centered care; and provide access to necessary medical, nursing and licensed specialists, peer support and care coordination.
The NewPATH Core Team consists of Sandra Koelle, Oregon State Hospital Replacement Project (OSHRP); Sandra Moreland, Seniors and People with Disabilities; and Matt Bartolotti, Addictions and Mental Health. The team sponsor is Linda Hammond, administrator for the OSHRP.
