This document provides county-specific snapshots of overdose-related services and projects across Oregon. This information supports Oregon Health Authority (OHA) overdose-prevention funding decisions and county-level public health agencies’ planning and intervention efforts. 

This is an overview of data that the Injury & Violence Prevention Program uses. 

This data brief presents the latest data available describing TBI-related deaths, hospitalizations, and emergency department (ED) discharges for Oregon residents under 22 years of age.

Information provided in this report describes the mechanism, or “cause of injury” included in TBI-related death, hospitalization, and emergency department (ED) discharge records for Oregon residents under 22 years of age.

Information provided in this data brief describes the “disposition at the time of discharge data” from hospitalization and emergency department settings for Oregon residents under 22 years of age.

Firearm injury is one of the leading causing of injury death in Oregon. Firearm deaths occurs due to suicide, homicide, legal intervention and unintentional shooting. This fact sheet compares Oregon firearm death rates by sex, age and race/ethnicity.

Pseudoephedrine Rx in Oregon Fact Sheet (pdf) - 2014
In 2006, Oregon became the first state to make pseudoephedrine a Schedule III controlled substance. Oregon Prescription Drug Monitoring Fact Sheet (pdf) - 2014
In 2009, legislation was passed that established the Oregon Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) - a Web-based data system that contains information on controlled prescription medications dispensed by Oregon-licensed retail pharmacies. Includes: information on the medications collected, how the system works, the purpose of the system, who can access information, and basic operation facts.

Oregon Prescription Drug Monitoring: Program Evaluation (pdf) - 2014
Program evaluation guides the development of the system, examines how the information may guide clinical practice, generates information to inform policy, and helps target drug overdose prevention efforts.
