Federal Section 317 funds are provided to each state to expand immunization services into other underserved populations. In Oregon, Section 317 funds are used to provide vaccines to children who are neither VFC-eligible nor fully insured, and to some uninsured adults. Unlike VFC, Section 317 funds are very limited, and not all vaccines are covered through 317 for all people. Section 317 funds are only available to public clinics.
