National Public Health Week is April 2-8, 2018
Public Health Week is an opportunity to promote the public health system in Oregon, provide networking and learning for public health professionals, and highlight timely public health issues.
Every year, the Public Health Division organizes a series of events for staff within the Public Health Division to celebrate the achievements of public health, and provide opportunities to share and network with colleagues and partners.
This year’s events will be focused on the public health foundational capability of health equity and cultural responsiveness.
About the Annual Event
During the first full week of April each year, public health communities across the United States observe National Public Health Week as a time to recognize the contributions of public health and highlight issues that are important to improving our nation. Each year, in celebration of National Public Health Week, the Oregon Health Authority Public Health Division collaborates with community partners to coordinate Oregon Public Health Week events.
