Notice of Public Hearing for the Financing of Multi-Family Housing Development with Proceeds from the Sale of Tax-Exempt Bonds 
 
A public hearing will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at 8:00 a.m. at 725 Summer Street NE, Suite B, Salem, Oregon  97301-1266 in Room B-221. The Department will receive comments on its proposed issuance of one or more issues of tax-exempt multifamily housing revenue bonds issued under a plan of finance. The proceeds of the bonds will be used to finance or refinance the multi-family apartment project described below, the initial owner, operator or manager of which will be the persons/entities set forth below. The total amount of bonds to be issued under the plan of finance to finance the project will not exceed $16,000,000. All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing or to forward their written comments to the Department at the address shown below.  Oral testimony at the hearing may be reasonably limited by the Department.

For the Sale of Tax-Exempt Single-Family Mortgage  Bonds

The Oregon Housing and Community Services Department (the "Department") will hold a public hearing at 8:30 a.m. on  Thursday March 30, 2017, in Room B-221 at 725 Summer Street NE, Suite B, Salem, Oregon, at which time any person may be heard regarding its proposed plan of financing. The Department proposes to issue tax-exempt single-family mortgage bonds to finance and/or refund bonds that were used to finance the acquisition, construction and improvement of owner-occupied residences for qualified persons in the State (the “Program").  The bonds will be issued in one or more series, in an aggregate amount not to exceed $200 million, over not more than a 3-year period, pursuant to a common plan of finance. 
 
The Department will consider the information obtained at the public hearing and take appropriate action that it may deem warranted including submission of a transcript of the hearing to the Governor who must approve or disapprove, pursuant to Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, the issuance of the above-referenced tax-exempt bonds to finance the Program.  It is the intention of the Department to issue these tax-exempt obligations on behalf of the State, the first of which is expected to be May 2017.
 
All interested persons are invited to present comments at the public hearing (or to forward their written comments to the Department at the address shown below) concerning the issuance of the bonds and the purpose therefore.

There will be a Public Hearing on the Draft 2017 US Department of Energy Weatherization Assistance Program State Plan of Oregon.

OHCS will accept written comments until 5:00 pm, Friday, April 14th, 2017. A copy of the draft state plan will be available on the OHCS website for viewing beginning the first week of March 2017. The Department will receive comments on its proposed issuance of one or more issues of tax-exempt multifamily housing revenue bonds issued under a plan of finance. The proceeds of the bonds will be used to finance or refinance the multi-family apartment project described below, the initial owner, operator or manager of which will be the persons/entities set forth below.
