Practicing medicine or acupuncture is a privilege granted by the Oregon Medical Board. It is important to understand your responsibilities when practicing in the state of Oregon. Completing an open-book examination on the Medical Practice Act is an opportunity to educate yourself on some of the most important laws affecting the practice of medicine or acupuncture in Oregon.
The Handbook is provided to help you complete the open-book exam. There is one correct answer to each question. Once completed, submit the exam through the Board's Secure Upload Portal or by postal mail or fax (971) 673-2672.

Please note: The DEA exam is no longer required. If you have been asked to complete that exam, you may now disregard those instructions and submit the MPA exam only.
Physician Assistant (PA) Applicants
