W. KENT WILLIAMSON, MD - Portland
Dr. Williamson is a vascular surgeon in private practice with Pacific Vascular Specialists. He is Board certified in both general and vascular surgery. He serves as Medical Director of the Non-Invasive Vascular Lab at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Vascular Surgery at Oregon Health Science University. Dr. Williamson participates in the Surgical Care Improvement Project, National Surgery Quality Improvement Program, and chairs the Providence Regional Endovascular Committee. He has a strong belief in the physician peer-review processes. This belief inspired him to start the regional morbidity and mortality peer-review process and a comprehensive outcomes registry within Providence system. Dr. Williamson attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He received his medical degree from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Dr. Williamson completed internship, general surgery and vascular surgery residency at Oregon Health Sciences University. BOARD APPOINTMENT: March 1, 2010
