MICHAEL J. MASTRANGELO JR, MD - Bend
Dr. Mastrangelo is a board certified general surgeon and Chief of General Surgery at St. Charles Hospital in Bend. He is also in private practice at Bend Surgical Associates.
He served on the faculty of the University of Kentucky prior to moving to Oregon in 2003. Dr. Mastrangelo has established a successful clinical practice in Oregon. He is active as an Affiliate Associate Professor at Oregon Health and Science University, Clinical faculty at Western University of Health Sciences, a member of numerous hospital committees and a trustee of the Oregon Medical Association.
Dr. Mastrangelo received his Bachelors of Science in biology and Masters of Science in physiology and biophysics from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He also completed advanced fellowships in Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University of Maryland and Pancreaticobiliary surgery and ERCP at the University of Louisville.
