Example of an ATV Safety Education Card
Effective January 1, 2014, all operators of Class I and III ATVs must have an ATV Safety Education Card.
There are two online course options you can take to obtain the Oregon ATV Safety Card:
  1. The FREE Oregon Parks and Recreation ATV Safety Education  Course; or,

  2. www.ATVcourse.com, a PAID option with professional narration and animation, as well as
      illustrated exam questions.

Both courses provide safety tips for riding in Oregon's dunes, desert and forests as well as training on trail etiquette, riding ethics and environmental concerns.
This course is step 1 of 2 for youth under 16 who must also attend a hands-on course.
These courses are the only options for obtaining the new ATV Safety Education Card that is required for all operators of quads and motorcycles. Once obtained, the ATV Safety Education Card is good for life.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Because this training material covers material not presented in hands-on training courses, previous ASI or MSF Operator Permit holders will also need to take this course.
