Valley of the Rogue State Park
Day-Use Restroom Replacement

Valley of the Rogue State Park is located just off Interstate 5, 12 miles east of Grants Pass. The day-use area is an Oregon Department of Transportation safety rest area owned by OPRD, but maintained by ODOT. The existing restroom building was outdated and not fully ADA compliant. The building needed to be replaced to keep up with the high visitor use generated by freeway traffic.

Creative Land Design Inc.of Gold Hill removed the existing wood restroom, concrete slab, utilities and path. The contractors then installed a pre-fabricated restroom building, attached the utilities and built a new path.

The vending machines originally located outside the old restroom building were moved and placed under a large kiosk. The kiosk was purchased from Parks & Prisons and installed by Creative Land Design.

Completed in April 2009, the new building past the test during a busy Memorial Day Weekend.
