An inventory of important historic properties in Hood River provided in list form. Entries include address, construction date, style, and National Register eligibility evaluation. Entries do not include photographs or property descriptions. Hood River County Historical Society. History of Hood River County, Oregon 1852-1982. 2 vols. Hood River County Historical Society, 1982. Photographs. 511 pages (each volume).

A complete and thematically organized history of Hood River County from early white settlement through 1982. The histories of specific places and individual communities, institutions, industries, and families are provided in brief discussions. Although sources are not identified, the book is a good source for general information.

Krussow, Patricia J., Pine Grove Memories in the Hood River Valley. Hood River: Privately Published, 1989. Photographs, index. 149 pages.

A community history of the town of Pine Grove from early white settlement through the early 20th century, the book focuses primarily on family history, but provides some information on historic trends and events.

An alphabetically arranged list of persons, places, events, terms, and objects related to the history of Hood River County. Most entries are brief. Bibliographic information is not provided. This is a good resource to use at the beginning of a research project.
