Engineering Geologist Examination
(CEG) To qualify for the Engineering Geologist exam, an applicant must:
  • be registered as a geologist, or have met the qualifications and passed the geologist examination.
  • meet one of the following experience requirements:
    • three years experience under the direct supervision of an engineering geologist, or
    • five years in responsible charge of engineering geological projects.
Engineering Geology experience used to meet geologist qualifications are eligible.
Other Completed Forms Required:
The Experience Record Form must be a chronological record since your baccalaureate degree was granted. It must include all time, even if outside of the geology field, which may have been spent in travel, etc. You are to leave no gaps.
Your supervisor for all engineering geology work experience necessary to meet the requirements of the application must complete the Verification of Experience form.
The Selected Geo-technical Project List must accompany applications if the required experience is not clearly supported through the Verification of Experience forms.
