MARC Records - Types of Files
There are three types of MARC record files available for Repository documents:
  • All records - new records for all documents added to the Repository each month. This file includes records that describe tangible documents (with links to the archived electronic version) and electronic only documents.
  • E-only - a subset of the Repository records that describe electronic only documents.
  • Non-depository - a subset of the Repository records that describe tangible documents in the OSL collection that were not distributed to depository libraries. These records also include a link to the archived electronic version of the document in the Repository.

Note: Oregon Depository Libraries will have access to Repository records for documents that are also distributed in tangible format with each depository shipment catalog record file. Depository libraries will want to download the e-only and non-depository subsets in order to assure that they receive all Repository records each month.

In addition, OSL has been adding older documents to the Repository and adding links to catalog records for documents that have been previously distributed to depository libraries. OSL will report the OCLC numbers for these records on shipping lists on an ongoing basis so libraries may update their records.
