Equivalency Exams

Is an Equivalency Exam right for me?

The equivalency exam is a 75-question, multiple-choice exam designed for experienced boaters. This test is offered by local county sheriff's offices or Boat Oregon classroom course instructors. Study materials are available from your local county sheriff's office, or through the Marine Board by request. 

Pre-registration is required. Often times officers are on patrol in the field, so please leave your name and contact phone number and your call will be returned about registering for an equivalency exam. Other testing options include Internet courses and classroom courses.
