Fish and Wildlife Division Personnel

The Division's 117 sworn officers are assigned statewide with specific duties and responsibilities to ensure compliance with natural resource laws. One professional staff member at General Headquarters supports the entire Division. Division assignments (sworn Senior Troopers/Troopers):
- 67 General fish and wildlife
- 13 Healthy streams and habitat
- 9 Commercial fish
- 3 Special Investigations Unit (SIU)
- 3 Aircraft pilots
ODFW funds approximately 50% of the positions, in addition to some of the seasonal employment programs. Other funding sources include Oregon Lottery, Department of Environmental Quality, general fund, Oregon State Marine Board, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Oregon State Parks, and service contracts.

Lieutenant Anderson coordinates the enforcement of commercial fishery regulations, enforcement of sport angling regulations, and supervises the Division’s Special Investigations Unit. He is OSP's law enforcement representative on the Enforcement Consultant Advisory body to the Pacific Fisheries Management Council and the representative at the Columbia Basin Law Enforcement Council (CBLEC), an organization of law enforcement agencies that enforce regulations pertaining to fisheries in the Columbia River system. |

Lieutenant Wilson coordinates the enforcement of wildlife and big game regulations, the Division’s compliance reporting process, the seasonal enforcement contracts, and the Division’s training programs, and is the Program Manager of the Oregon State Marine Board contract. |

The Program Analyst I provides direct support to the three sworn members at General Headquarters and indirect support to the remaining sworn and non-sworn members in the field through collecting and/or disseminating information, providing administrative assistance, and handling projects. The Program Analyst I is responsible for preparing reports for specific state and federal contracts and Division activities, creating and publishing the monthly newsletter, serving as the Division's web coordinator, and serving external customers by answering and/or routing questions about wildlife, law enforcement, and/or Division issues.
