OSP Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of 2 Washington Men, Seizure of 1/2 Pound of Methamphetamine - Highway 97 north of Redmond

Two men were arrested early Wednesday morning during an Oregon State Police (OSP) traffic stop along Highway 97 about four miles north of Redmond after the trooper discovered approximately a half pound of methamphetamine concealed in their vehicle.

On January 23, 2013 at approximately 2:24 a.m., an OSP trooper stopped a 2014 Hyundai Elantra displaying Washington license plates for unspecified traffic violations northbound on Highway 97 near milepost 114. The vheicle was occupied by two men identified as YEON J. CHUNG, age 32, and COREY L. CAMP, age 38, both from Seattle, Washington.

Subsequent investigation during the traffic stop, with the assistance of a drug detection canine, led the trooper to discover approximately a half pound of methamphetamine concealed in the car.

Both men were arrested for Unlawful Possession and Distribution of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine and lodged in the Deschutes County Jail.
