Update #8: Kayla Hendrickson Homicide Investigation - Highway 6 east of Tillamook

A multi-agency investigation by the Tillamook County Major Crime Team working through the week following last Friday’s murder of KAYLA ANN HENDRICKSON, age 16, from Beaverton, concluded the lone person responsible for her death was JACOB ALLEN GREEN, age 24, from Newport.
 
HENDRICKSON was found deceased late Friday night, January 18, along Highway 6 about eighteen miles east of Tillamook. The investigation determined she was the victim of homicidal violence and died from gunshot wounds. Her family is holding a Celebration of Life Service open to family and friends on Sunday, January 27, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Attrell's Newberg Funeral Chapel located at 207 Villa Road in Newberg.
 
GREEN died Saturday after shooting himself as he traveled in Humboldt County, California.
 
The Tillamook County Major Crime Team is comprised of members from Tillamook County Sheriff's Office, Tillamook Police Department, Manzanita Police Department, Oregon State Police, and Tillamook County District Attorney's Office. The investigation is continuing. Critical assistance during the investigation was been provided by:
