OSP Investigating Weekend Armed Robbery at Interstate 84 Rest Area Near Stanfield

Oregon State Police (OSP) is investigating a reported armed robbery of a commercial truck driver Saturday morning at an Interstate 84 rest area near Stanfield in northeast Oregon.
 
On February 2, 2013 at approximately 7:00 a.m., a 55-year old commercial truck driver from Alabama returned to his truck after taking items to a trash can and was confronted by a man armed with a handgun. The suspect ordered the victim back into his truck where he robbed him of an undisclosed amount of cash before leaving the area in an unknown direction.
 
The suspect is described as a white male in his 30's, average build, sandy blonde hair to top of ears, no facial hair or glasses, wearing a black long sleeve thermal shirt, grayish-brown pants, and was using a Bluetooth device in the left ear. There is no vehicle information.
