Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into the cause of death of a Vancouver, Washington man Monday night after he suffered a medical emergency while riding in a passenger car along Highway 18 near Grand Ronde.
On February 17, 2014 at approximately 11:27 p.m., West Valley Fire District, Grand Ronde Police Department, and OSP responded to a reported medical emergency involving a passenger in a car that pulled onto the side of Highway 18 near milepost 22 in Polk County. The 28-year old female driver reported she stopped after her passenger, ANDREW WACKER, age 30, from Vancouver, Washington, began having a seizure.
Fire paramedics arrived and began CPR before transporting WACKER to Willamette Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.
Vancouver, Washington police assisted OSP with next of kin notification.
