Oregon State Police (OSP) is asking for the public's help to identify the vehicle and driver involved in Wednesday night's injury hit-and-run collision on Highway 224 near 82nd Drive in Clackamas County.
On February 19, 2014 at approximately 7:23 p.m., a 2007 Lincoln four-door driven by TESSIE L. McQUEEN, age 43, from Troutdale, was stopped in the left lane on Highway 224 behind other traffic just east of the 82nd Drive intersection for a red light when it was struck in the rear. The other vehicle then fled westbound over Interstate 205 and was last seen by a witness driving westbound on SE Roots Road west of the freeway.
The suspect vehicle is described as a 1980s - 1990s Chevrolet Suburban, two-tone gray with a red pinstripe, displaying unknown Oregon "tree" license plate. This vehicle should have right front damage.
McQUEEN and her 14-year old daughter were transported by ambulance to Milwaukie Providence Hospital with minor injuries. They were using safety restraints.
Information indicates there were witnesses at nearby gas stations and the 7/11 store, as well as other drivers who have not spoken to OSP. Anyone with information to help in this investigation is asked to contact Sergeant Pat Huskey at (503) 731-3020 ext 275 or email Patrick.firstname.lastname@example.org.
OSP was assisted at the scene by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Clackamas Fire District #1, and AMR ambulance.
