Crime Stoppers Reward Offered to Help Identify Suspect in Valentine's Day Bank Robbery in Merlin

The following is information from Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon

The FBI and Oregon States Police, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon, is asking for the public's help to identify the suspect involved in a February 14, 2014, robbery of the Umpqua Bank in Merlin.

On Valentine's Day, the Umpqua Bank located at 3600 Merlin Road, was robbed at approximately 5:47 p.m. after the suspect entered the bank and demanded cash from the teller. The suspect was described as possibly being a male with small build, about 5'7", wearing a full-face motorcycle helmet and green jacket. He was carrying a short rifle or maybe a sawed-off shotgun.

The suspect left the scene on what appeared to be a street legal dirt motorcycle, traveling northbound on Monument Drive. Oregon State Police initially responded to the incident and the case has now been taken over by the FBI for further investigation.
