Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into Monday's fatal traffic crash involving a motorcycle and pickup that occurred along Highway 20 west of Burnt Woods in Lincoln County.
On March 17, 2014 at approximately 12 noon, a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by ROLLIN ALBERT FISHWOOD, age 65, from Highland, California, was eastbound on Highway 20 near milepost 31. According to a witness, the motorcyclist had passed their vehicle and moved back into the eastbound lane when it collided into the back of a 1992 Ford F150 pickup preparing to turn right into a driveway.
FISHWOOD was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene. He was wearing a protective helmet.
The pickup's driver, BOYD L. EAGLESON, age 91, from Eddyville, was not injured.
OSP troopers from the Newport Area Command office are investigating. OSP was assisted at the scene by Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and ODOT. The highway was reduced to one lane for about 4 hours.
