Attempted Murder Investigation - Wolf Creek in Josephine County

Oregon State Police (OSP) Criminal Investigation Division is continuing the investigation into the shooting of a 43-year old man at a Wolf Creek location in Josephine County. The shooting victim received non-life threatening injuries and is being treated at a Grants Pass area hospital.
 
On April 2, 2013, at 1:55 a.m., OSP Southern Command Center dispatch received a call from Three Rivers Community Hospital (T.R.C.H.) reporting a male was being treated for multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as SHANNON JEROME SHULTS, age 43, from Wolf Creek in Josephine County. Josephine County Sheriff Gil Gilbertson was notified and he requested OSP handle the incident.
 
Troopers from the Central Point and Grants Pass offices responded to the crime scene on Coyote Creek Road in Wolf Creek and secured the location. Troopers also made the initial contact with the victim at T.R.C.H. and notified OSP detectives who responded to the scene and the hospital.

A vehicle of interest in connection with the investigation is described as a mid-2000 year black or dark colored Dodge pickup. The vheicle may have left rear, driver side, and left front corner damage. No other description or vehicle plate information available.
