Oregon State Police (OSP) Criminal Investigation Division is asking for the public's help to identify the person(s) responsible for shooting at the Bandon police headquarters. The damage was spotted Sunday afternoon and the Bandon Police Chief requested OSP investigate.

Preliminary investigation indicates that unknown person(s) fired at least one round causing damage to the Bandon Police Department headquarters located at 555 Highway 101. The damage was first spotted by a police officer Sunday, April 8, at approximately 3:00 p.m. Two independent sources reported hearing what they believed may have been gunshots in the vicinity of the police department building late Sunday morning. OSP recovered evidence at the scene but is not releasing additional details at this time.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact OSP Detective John Riddle at (541) 888-2677 ext. 232.
