Following an extensive multi-agency investigation into a Salem-area burglary ring, the Oregon State Police will host a scheduled public viewing of seized property believed stolen from victims in the Marion/Polk County areas prior to January 15, 2013.
To help return seized property to its rightful owner, the Oregon State Police will host the public viewing subject to scheduled times on July 1 and 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Salem Area Command office located at 3710 Portland Road NE. This invitation to view recovered property is open to any theft/burglary victims who reported a theft to an area law enforcement agency before January 15, 2013.
Individuals making an appointment should be prepared to provide a reporting agency case number with a list of items for verification. If no report was taken, you must be prepared to prove ownership by sales receipt and serial number.
Persons who would like to come and view property can do so by making an appointment with Trooper Nick Rhoades at (503) 378-3387 ext 31300. Individuals who may be leaving the area during the listed dates can also call Trooper Rhoades to try and schedule a different date and time.
