A Wallowa County man was released from custody Tuesday after a Wallowa County Circuit Court judge signed a release agreement and he posted the required $50,000 bail. The man was held in custody following his arrest in connection with a Sunday evening's non-fatal shooting of another man.
According to Wallowa County District Attorney Mona Williams, DANIEL KENT COURTNEY, age 47, was released July 16 from the Union County Jail. COURTNEY was arrested on one count of Assault in the Second Degree following the July 14 shooting of RANDY DICKENSON, age 53, on COURTNEY's Williamson Road property between Enterprise and Joseph. DICKENSON was seriously injured and taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. He has been released from the hospital.
Oregon State Police (OSP) Criminal Investigations Division, in cooperation with the Wallowa County District Attorney's Office and Wallowa County Sheriff's Office, are continuing the investigation. No other information to be released at this time.
