Five people were injured Sunday night and a driver arrested following a two-vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of Highway 211 and Pudding River Road NE in Marion County east of Woodburn.

On July 21, 2013 at approximately 9:51 p.m., a 1998 Chevrolet Suburban driven by RAFAEL PABLO-CALMO, age 24, was traveling south on Pudding River Road NE when it failed to stop at a stop sign at the Highway 211 intersection. The Chevrolet Suburban collided into the side of a 2006 Chevrolet Trail Blazer driven by MOISES SKOROHODOFF, age 39, from Woodburn, that was traveling east on Highway 211.

The Chevrolet Trail Blazer passengers were identified as ANTONINA SKOROHODOFF, age 37, and two females' ages 16 and 6. All vehicle occupants were transported to an unidentified area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

PABLO-CALMO, who is believed to be a Woodburn-area resident, was also transported to a hospital with minor injuries. Upon discharge and subsequent to the initial investigation, PABLO-CALMO was arrested and lodged in the Marion County Jail on the following charges:

* DUII
* Reckless Driving
* Assault in the Third Degree (3 counts)
* Recklessly Endangering Another Person

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers from the Salem Area Command office are continuing the investigation, including information that a female passenger in the Chevrolet Suburban left the scene before police arrived. Trooper James Ward is the lead investigator.

OSP was assisted at the scene by Woodburn Police Department, Woodburn Fire District, Monitor Rural Fire District, and medics from Molalla and Canby. The highway was blocked nearly 2 hours.
