A Wednesday morning traffic stop along Interstate 5 near Cottage Grove led Oregon State Police (OSP) to arrest two California women after they were found in possession of approximately 5 ounces of methamphetamine.

On August 7, 2013 at approximately 10:00 a.m., an OSP trooper stopped a Chevrolet sport utility vehicle displaying California license plates northbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 172 for a speed violation. The two occupants were identified as driver JUDITH E. KORBLER, age 41, and passenger SANDRA K. FULTON, age 47, both from Ontario, California.

Subsequent investigation during the traffic stop, with the assistance of an OSP drug detection canine, led to the discovery of over 144 grams (approximately 5 ounces) of crystal methamphetamine concealed in the vehicle. Additional evidence was also seized.

KORBLER and FULTON were arrested and lodged in the Lane County Jail for Unlawful Possession and Distribution of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine.
