Oregon's AMBER Alert is deactived after confirmation that 16-year old Hannah Anderson was rescued and suspect James DiMaggio was shot and killed by an FBI agent during an encounter following a search in Valley County, Idaho. According to the Incident Command Public Information Officer team, a news conference is scheduled August 10th at 6:15 p.m. at the media briefing staging area in Cascade, Idaho.

Oregon State Police appreciates the interest and help by those who were trying to help, phoning in tips, tracking details during the duration of this incident, and sharing information via social media (Twitter) since this tragic incident began in San Diego County, California.
