Note: Oregon State Police is assisting Pendleton Police Department with an investigation into a serious assault against a female victim. The following three photograph links are provided to assist in developing leads in this case.

On August 9, 2013 at 11:14 p.m. a Pendleton police officer received a report of a missing female who went for a walk on the river parkway at around 6:00 p.m. The female was located by a Pendleton Police detective at approximately 6:50 a.m., August 10, near the river levee behind the Babe Ruth/Bob White baseball field.
The female victim, who had been physically assaulted, was transported to St. Anthony Hospital by paramedics. She was later taken by air ambulance to Oregon Health & Science University in Portland and for treatment of her injuries and she is currently listed in critical, but stable condition.
Investigators are searching for a person of interest in this case. The individual is described as an adult male, 18 - 25 years of age, with a tan or darker skin tone and dark brown or black hair. The individual is 5'08" to 5'11", weighing 150 to 175 lbs. He was last seen wearing khaki shorts and a dark brown or black t-shirt. Three photographs of this person are released. Pendleton Police Department is asking for any information regarding this person's whereabouts or where he has lived.
Pendleton Police Department is being assisted by members of the following agencies: Oregon State Police, Oregon State Police Forensics Services Division, Milton-Freewater Police Department, Umatilla County Sheriff's Department, Umatilla County Parole and Probation, and the Umatilla County District Attorney's Office.
