The investigation continues into the August 22, 2012 shooting of a Benton County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) sergeant and Salem Police Department (SPD) corporal during an incident involving police and DEMECIO CARDENAS JR, age 32, from Los Angeles, California. CARNENAS is still being treated at a Portland-area hospital and his condition status is not available.
