Lincoln Interagency Narcotic Team Investigation Leads to Two Arrests, Seizure of Methamphetamine and other Drugs

Two Lincoln City-area men were arrested Thursday by the Lincoln County Interagency Narcotics Team (LINT) on several drug charges following the execution of a search warrant.

On August 29, 2013, LINT members, assisted by Lincoln City Police and a Newport Police Department K-9 unit, served a search warrant at a residence in the 1100 block of SW 16th Street. The residence was a small detached shed next to the main house. The persons residing in the main house were not involved in the investigation.

Subsequent search led to the seizure of over three-quarters of an ounce of methamphetamine and other evidence related to possession and delivery of Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, Hashish, and the use of Heroin.

Two men were arrested and lodged in the Lincoln County Jail on the following charges:

* STEPHEN HARBIN, age 31, was arrested for Unlawful Delivery, Manufacture, and Possession of Methamphetamine; Unlawful Possession of Fentanyl; and, Unlawful Possession of Hashish.

* TYLER LANE HURLBERT, age 24, was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Heroin, and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.

An adult female was also contacted but not arrested.

Further investigation is being conducted by LINT which is comprised of members of the Lincoln City Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Lincoln County District Attorney's Office, Newport Police Department, and Oregon State Police.
