OSP Investigating Crescent-Area Disturbance That Seriously Injured One Person
Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing an investigation into a Saturday night disturbance at a Crescent-area restaurant/bar that left one man with a non-life threatening neck wound and minor injuries to several others. No arrests have been made and OSP is asking for contact from any witnesses to help with the investigation.
According to Trooper Nick Hagedorn, on September 8, 2012 at approximately 8:45 p.m. Crescent EMS and police responded to a report of a stabbing at the Little River Bar & Grill (http://goo.gl/maps/DlhIe) in Crescent. Upon arrival a man identified as DAVID LINE, age 22, from Sunriver, was found with a serious neck laceration. LINE was transported by air ambulance to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend for treatment.
Preliminary investigation indicates a physical altercation involving at least six persons, including LINE, occurred outside the bar. During the altercation, LINE was injured.
Three of the involved persons left the scene before emergency responders arrived. They were later found by OSP troopers and Klamath County deputies at two different locations. The three La Pine area men, ages 50, 57, and 63, were identified and interviewed.
Two men, ages 21 and 23, who were friends of the victim remained at the scene.
Nearly all involved persons showed signs of physical injury but only LINE was transported for treatment.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Hagedorn at (541) 536-7427.
