Senior Trooper Scott Hite
After nearly 500 individuals submitted online applications during the last two days for the anticipated upcoming hiring for several Oregon State Police (OSP) recruit trooper positions, the Department stopped accepting applications Friday, September 14, 2012, at 1:00 p.m.
OSP began accepting applications using the State of Oregon's E-Recruit electronic application system Thurday, September 13, at 9:00 a.m. OSP Superintendent Richard Evans announced the hiring effort nearly one year after the Department's last recruit class was sworn in and a statewide hiring freeze was implemented in January 2012. The recruitment became necessary because many long-time troopers have retired over the last few years.
Questions about the application process can be directed to the OSP Recruitment Unit at (503) 378-4175.
