An inmate who died unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 29, at Two Rivers Correctional Institution has been identified as Antonio Ruiz, age 48. Ruiz entered Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) custody on Dec. 31, 2003, on 11 counts of sex abuse in the first degree out of Washington County. His earliest release date was Feb. 16, 2016.
As with all unanticipated deaths in DOC facilities, the Oregon State Police were notified and are investigating. More details will be released when the investigation is completed.
