RADE Investigation Leads to Arrest of Cave Junction Man on Drug, Weapon Charges

The Rogue Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) team, with the assistance of Oregon State Police SWAT team, arrested a Cave Junction man early Thursday morning on drug and weapons charges following the execution of a search warrant at the man's residence.
According to Oregon State Police Sergeant Jim Johnson, on October 4, 2012 at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Oregon State Police SWAT team served a search warrant in the 1700 block of Dick George Road in Cave Junction. Subsequent to the search warrant service, RADE detectives arrested LEIF TIERNEY DEVIN CARRIER, age 25, from Cave Junction on the following charges:
* Unlawful Possession, Distribution, and Manufacture of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine
* Unlawful Possession and Manufacture of a Controlled Substance - Marijuana
* Felon in Possession of a Firearm
Detectives seized approximately 1/2 ounce of methamphetamine, ten pounds of marijuana, six large marijuana plants, two firearms (including an AR 15 assault weapon), possible stolen property, and other evidence.
CARRIER was lodged in the Josephine County Jail.

The interagency narcotics RADE team is comprised of personnel from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety, Oregon State Police, Josephine County District Attorney's Office, and the Josephine County Community Corrections.
