OSP Traffic Stop Leads to Seizure of 18 lbs of Marijuana, One Arrest - Poorman Creek Road west of Medford

An Oregon State Police (OSP) traffic stop west of Medford led to the arrest Wednesday afternoon of an adult male after the trooper found approximately 18 pounds of marijuana inside the man's car.

On October 9, 2013 at approximately 5:10 p.m., an OSP trooper stopped a Volkswagen Golf passenger car for a vehicle license violation westbound on Poorman Creek Road near West Griffin Creek Road in Jackson County. The driver was identified as BRIAN M. LLOYD, age 40, from Williams.

Subsequent investigation during the traffic stop led to the discovery of approximately 18 pounds of marijuana concealed inside a bag in the car's trunk area.

LLOYD was taken into custody and lodged in the Jackson County Jail for Unlawful Possession and Delivery of a Controlled Substance - Marijuana.

The OSP Drug Enforcement Section is continuing the investigation.
