OSP Detectives Investigating Non-Fatal Shooting in Josephine County

Oregon State Police (OSP) Criminal Investigations Division detectives, with the assistance of Josephine County District Attorney's Office, are investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred at an unknown location in Josephine County early Saturday morning.

On October 12, 2013 at approximately 6:30 a.m., a 19-year old male suffering two gunshot wounds was dropped off at the Three Rivers Community Hospital emergency room in Grants Pass. The hospital contacted law enforcement, and OSP detectives and troopers responded to investigate. The victim, identified as CLYDE McDONALD from Cave Junction, remains hospitalized for treatment of his injuries.

The preliminary investigation has not led to a positive identification of where the shooting occurred or who is responsible. No other information will be released at this time.
