Oregon State Police (OSP) and Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) were on scene for several hours Thursday morning at a non-injury crash involving three commercial trucks blocking the eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 about thirteen miles east of Baker City. The eastbound lanes were closed while they work to remove the involved trucks and trailers.
On October 25, 2012 at approximately 5:30 a.m., a commercial truck pulling a semi-trailer traveling eastbound on Interstate 84 near milepost 318 lost control and jackknifed. A second commercial truck pulling a trailer struck the rear of the first trailer. A third commercial truck pulling two trailers collided with the first truck before continuing down the road and coming to rest partially off the freeway. No drivers were injured.
A detour was set up to allow passenger vehicles only to travel around the scene.
