Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into the Sunday morning shooting injury to an adult male on property near O'Brien in southern Josephine County.
Preliminary investigation indicates on October 28, 2012 at approximately 10:40 a.m., OSP patrol troopers, OSP Criminal Investigation Division detectives and Illinois Valley Fire District personnel responded to a report that a 36-year old man was shot in the leg by an unidentified person while outside on his property in the 1700 block of Lone Mountain Road in the O'Brien area. The man was transported by AMR Ambulance to Three River Community Hospital in Grants Pass where he was treated and released. The man's dog was also shot and injured and is being treated by an area veterinarian.
OSP has been investigating to confirm the alleged circumstances related to the shooting. No other information will be released at this time.
