Oregon State Police (OSP) arrested a former employee of the Oregon Department of Corrections on Thursday morning related to an investigation into the theft of funds from an inmate account.
 
On October 31, 2013 at approximately 10:38 a.m., OSP detectives and troopers arrested JOHN EDWARD SIPPLE, age 69, at his northeast Salem residence, following a Marion County Grand Jury indictment on six counts of Theft in the First Degree. SIPPLE, a former employee at Oregon State Correctional Institution, was lodged in the Marion County Jail.
