Lincoln Interagency Narcotics Team Investigation Leads to Arrest of Out-of-Compliance Sex Offender

Members of the Lincoln Interagency Narcotics Team (LINT), Oregon State Police, and Newport Police Department arrested a 29-year old man Thursday during an investigation into complaints of drugs being sold from a residence north of Siletz.

On October 31, 2013, LINT detectives, Oregon State Police, Newport Police Department, and an Oregon State Police drug detection canine served a search warrant at 846 Wade Road near Siletz. During execution of the search warrant, investigators found evidence related to possession and delivery of methamphetamine, and a theft being investigated by Newport police.

One of the persons contacted at the residence was identified as TREVOR COLE, age 29. COLE was arrested for Felony Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. A 32-year old female also at the residence was not arrested.

The investigation is continuing.

LINT is comprised of members from the Lincoln City Police Department, Newport Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Oregon State Police, and Lincoln County District Attorney's Office.
