A Friday night multi-agency sweep targeting out-of-compliance registered sex offenders in Marion County resulted in the arrest of four people for failure to report as sex offender. Oregon State Police (OSP) is asking for the public's help to locate four of the targeted individuals, including three wanted on outstanding warrants.
According to Trooper Nick Rhoades, on November 2, 2012, approximately 15 law enforcement officers from OSP, Marion County Sheriff's Office and Salem Police Department conducted the sex offender sweep to locate out-of-compliance registered sex offenders. Seventeen individuals were targeted in the Salem area, of which, four were arrested including a predatory registered sex offender identified as THOMAS E. OHARA, age 56. OHARA was arrested for Failure to Report as a Sex Offender and taken to the Marion County Jail. (Ohara photograph:

The following four individuals were not located and OSP is asking for the public's help to locate them:
Anyone with information regarding the above-listed four wanted persons is asked to call OSP Northern Command Center dispatch at 800-452-7888 or 9-1-1.

Tips should include specific details including the type of case and information related to the criminal investigation. Even though tips may be received anonymously, those providing tips are encouraged to give contact information for follow-up by the investigator(s), if needed.
