On November 27, 2012 at approximately 12:15 a.m., an OSP trooper attempted to stop a 2001 Chrysler passenger car for a traffic violation on Portland Road near Interstate 5. The driver failed to yield and attempted to elude OSP troopers and Marion County deputies on Salem and Keizer area roads at speeds near 80 mph. The eluding Chrysler was involved in a non-injury collision with two vehicles at the intersection of Silverton Road NE and Fisher Road NE. The vehicle continued eastbound from the crash scene until it came to a stop in the 4100 block of Silverton Road NE.
The vehicle's two occupants were taken into custody by OSP troopers and deputies without further incident at 12:22 a.m. They were both wanted on outstanding warrants and lodged in the Marion County Jail on the following charges:
Driver ROSALIND RAE GARCIA, age 29, from Keizer
* Warrant - Unlawful Delivery and Possession of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine
* Felony Attempt to Elude in a Vehicle
* Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants
* Reckless Driving
* Misdemeanor Hit & Run - Property Damage (2 counts)
* Recklessly Endangering Another Person
* Criminal Mischief in Second Degree
* Cited for Driving While Suspended
Passenger LISA DALILA ALCALA, age 30, from Salem
* Warrant - Parole Violation
