Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into the death of an adult female pedestrian struck by a pickup Monday afternoon on Highway 18 in Grand Ronde. The pickup's driver was uninjured and fully cooperated with investigators at the scene and no citations were issued.
According to Lieutenant Eric Davenport, on December 10, 2012 at approximately 4:58 p.m., JUDI GNADE, age 57, from Grand Ronde, and a female companion were near Fort Hill Restaurant attempting to cross Highway 18 on foot from north to south. GNADE, who lives across the highway from the restaurant, was struck by an eastbound GMC pickup driven by JEFFREY B. KUUST, age 48, from Dallas. The female companion attempting to cross with GNADE was not struck nor injured.
