Highway 99E south of Oregon City was closed about four hours following Friday afternoon's two-vehicle fatal traffic crash that resulted in the death of one person. Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers from the Portland Area Command office are continuing the investigation with the assistance of the Clackamas County District Attorney's Office.
On December 21, 2012 at approximately 1:25 p.m., a 2001 Dodge Durango driven by ERIC DEAN HOSKINS, age 31, from Molalla, was northbound on Highway 99E near milepost 17 north of South End Road when it crossed the center paved median and collided nearly head-on with a southbound 2001 Ford two-door passenger car. The Ford's driver, SUSANNE FRANCES FORMAN, age 62, from Scotts Mills, was pronounced deceased at the scene. HOSKINS was transported by AMR ambulance to Willamette Falls Hospital in Oregon City for an examination of a possible injury.
Senior Trooper Dan Swift is the lead investigator. No enforcement decision anticipated until investigation has concluded and been reviewed with the District Attorney's office.
OSP was assisted at the scene by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Canby Fire Department, and ODOT.
