Oregon State Police (OSP) Fish & Wildlife Division is asking the public's help in solving another elk poaching case in Lincoln County. The location is described as about two miles south of Highway 18 near milepost 5.

On December 30, 2007 at 1:15 p.m. OSP Trooper Ryan Kehr responded to the Trout Creek Area off of Slick Rock Creek Road to a report of a dead cow elk left to waste. The adult cow elk had been dead for approximately one week and had been covered with sticks in an attempt to conceal it. No meat was taken.
