Two Washington men were arrested last Wednesday when an Oregon State Police (OSP) traffic contact in Grants Pass led troopers to discover nearly 7 pounds of marijuana concealed in their vehicle.  OSP Drug Enforcement Section is continuing the investigation.

On January 19, 2011 at about 11:20 a.m. an OSP sergeant contacted the occupants of a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria with Washington license plates near the intersection of F Street and Mill Street in Grants Pass. The two occupants were identified as driver CHRISTIAN JAMES WHITE, age 21, and passenger TUCKER W. WHITE, age 48, both from Ellensburg, Washington.

Subsequent investigation during the contact led to the discovery of approximately 6.75 pounds of marijuana concealed in the vehicle.  Estimated value of the seized marijuana is over $16,000.

Both Tucker and Christian White were cited to appear in Josephine County Circuit Court for:
  • Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana
