A Pasco, Washington man was arrested Sunday morning when an Oregon State Police (OSP) traffic stop led to the discovery of 113 lbs. of marijuana in a vehicle.  The approximate value of the seized marijuana is nearly $300,000.
On February 8, 2010 at approximately 11:50 a.m. an OSP trooper from the Klamath Falls Area Command office stopped a 2008 Mazda passenger car traveling northbound on Highway 97 near milepost 257 for several traffic violations. Subsequent investigation led to the discovery of 113 pounds of prepackaged marijuana concealed in the trunk.
The operator, RICARDO SANCHEZ, age 26, from from Pasco, Washington was taken into custody for Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance - Marijuana. SANCHEZ was lodged in the Klamath County Jail.
