(541) 883-5713

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into the death of commercial truck driver found unresponsive Tuesday night at the scene of a reported crash on Highway 58 near Crescent Lake. A medical problem prior to the crash may have been a contributing factor and the man's name is being released following confirmation of next of kin notification.
On February 8, 2011 at approximately 8:30 p.m. a trooper from the Gilchrist worksite was dispatched to a commercial truck crash on Highway 58 near milepost 70. While the trooper was responding to the crash, citizens at the scene reported the driver was unresponsive.

After the trooper arrived at the crash scene with Central Cascade Fire EMS, the driver, CECIL RANDALL GOODIN, age 54, from Vancouver, Washington was pronounced deceased.

OSP troopers from the Klamath Falls Area Command and Gilchrist worksite investigated the crash. ODOT, Crescent Ambulance and Central Cascade Fire/EMS assisted.
The crash is still under investigation with the assistance of the medical examiner. A medical condition prior to the crash is a possible cause and factor in the crash.
